- The spring has sections with closer windings alternating with sections with more spaced windings.
- The closer windings offer a lower initial resistance during compression compared to a traditional linear spring.
- Advantage: This design significantly reduces stress on the piston teeth, especially on the engagement tooth, increasing the component's lifespan, especially in high-speed or high-power configurations.
