This "TUNE UP" series spring from Guarder is a high-quality upgrade component designed for electric airsoft (AEG) replicas and manual SVD sniper rifles. Guarder is a renowned Taiwanese brand, known for producing precise and reliable replacement parts.
Materials and Construction:
- Material: Made of Silicon-Chrome (Si-Cr) alloy steel wire, known for its excellent fatigue resistance and stability.
- Treatments: The wire is hardened and oil-tempered (Oil Quenched & Tempered) to optimize mechanical properties and durability.
- Variable (Progressive/Irregular) Pitch Design: The coils do not have a constant pitch. This design facilitates initial compression of the spring, ensuring smoother operation and potentially reducing stress on the motor and piston, while maintaining the necessary force for optimal performance.
- Consistency: Guarder springs are known for their consistent performance even after thousands of shots, and unlike cheaper springs, their actual power more closely matches the declared nominal stiffness.
Nominal Power (SP Value):
The "SP" value indicated for each variant (e.g., SP100, SP120) represents the nominal stiffness of the spring. The table below provides an estimate of the muzzle velocity (m/s) that can be achieved with each spring.
IMPORTANT - Effective Power:
- The values in m/s are indicative.
- The actual power of the replica depends heavily on many factors: quality of assembly, air seal of the system, type of cylinder, length and diameter of the inner barrel, etc.
- The actual power may also vary when using other Guarder upgrade parts.
- Always check the final power with a chronograph to comply with legal limits (1 Joule in Italy) and the playing field rules.
