This reinforced piston by RetroArms is a high-quality upgrade component, designed to offer maximum durability and wear resistance in extreme airsoft configurations. It has been successfully tested in very diverse configurations:
- DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) at 570 FPS
- DSG (Dual Sector Gear) powerful, with a firing rate above 50 RPS (shots per second) and 400 FPS
This piston solves many common problems with standard pistons, while maintaining a competitive price.
Key Features:
- Unaltered piston body: The complete guides (unaltered) ensure a uniform wear distribution on both the piston and the gearbox guides. This significantly increases durability over time (RetroArms tests indicate noticeable wear after 2-3 years or over 100,000 shots).
- Steel gear: Made with extremely precise tolerances. Hardness tests have shown that the gear has a hardness of 50HRC+ (grinds at 55HRC), offering higher wear resistance than many competitors.
- Gear mounting: The gear is pressed into the piston body, and is more difficult to remove than any other piston tested by RetroArms.
- Reinforced rear tooth: The rear tooth (engagement tooth), which is often the point of failure in case of premature engagement or jamming, is reinforced and very thick, offering the highest chance of survival even in extreme stress conditions.
