The KJW M9 "PTP" (Professional Training Pistol) was developed with professionals in mind, being used by US military and law enforcement for training sessions. This results in a high level of realism, durability, and performance for the airsoft world. Its most notable feature is its construction: it is one of the gas pistols with the most metal parts on the market, with a heavy-weight aluminum frame and slide and critical internal components reinforced with steel.
The heart of this M9 is its versatility. The internal components are robust enough to handle different types of gas pressure without issues. The user can choose to use CO2 magazines for standard use, or Green Gas magazines (sold separately) for maximum power and consistency at low temperatures.
Realism is emphasized by a blowback system with a strong recoil ("hard kick") and a safe ambidextrous frame, a functioning safety and an integrated adjustable sight, as required by military specifications. The front and rear sights have high-visibility white dots for quick target acquisition. Another great advantage of this platform is the enormous availability of aftermarket parts and upgrades. This replica features a fixed hop-up system, not adjustable.
