The Innovation of Tegris (Rigidity and Lightness):
The biggest limitation of traditional belts is the compromise between weight and rigidity. Clawgear has overcome this obstacle by integrating a Tegris core (100% composite Polypropylene) into the LW (Lightweight) belt. This aerospace-derived material provides extreme structural rigidity, preventing the belt from flexing or twisting under the weight of a loaded holster, while keeping the overall weight of the entire belt at just 130 grams.
Laminated Construction and Laser Cutting:
The exterior of the belt is made of robust 500D/500D Nylon Laminate, processed with modern laser cutting technology (Lasercut). This design creates an integrated PALS/MOLLE interface, eliminating the weight and bulk of classic sewn webbing, while ensuring a perfect hold for your magazine pouches, medkits, and utilities. With a height of 50 mm, it offers the ideal width to distribute weight on the hips.
Outer Belt System and Secure Closure:
The "Operator Outer Belt LW" is designed as an outer belt and is prepared to work in synergy with an inner belt via a Velcro system, ensuring a rock-solid attachment to the pelvis. The front closure relies on a Woojin polymer buckle, equipped with an additional safety lock that prevents any risk of accidental release, while maintaining a significantly lower weight compared to metal buckles.
The miracle of Tegris: If you've never had a belt with a Tegris core in your hands, prepare to be amazed. When you grab it, it looks as thin as a sheet of cardboard and as light as a feather, but try to bend it vertically: it's like marble. This means that your Safariland or Kydex holster will never wobble, the extraction will always be smooth and clean, and at the end of the day you won't have a broken back.
"Two-Piece" System (Don't forget the Inner Belt!): This is an Outer Belt. Inside it is covered in Velcro (hook). To function at 100% of its capacity, you must combine it with a soft inner belt covered in Velcro (loop) to be inserted into the loops of your pants. This way, when you place this belt on top, it will engage as a single block with your body. If you use it alone, you will lose much of its stability!
Washing machine prohibited: The combination of laser-cut laminated Nylon and Tegris polypropylene requires careful maintenance. As indicated by the manufacturer, wash it exclusively by hand with lukewarm water and neutral soap. The use of washing machines, dryers, or direct exposure to extreme heat sources could cause delamination of the fabric or irreparably deform the polymer.
