The Tokyo Marui M14 SOCOM is an AEG replica that combines history with modernity. It is the shortened and tactical (SOCOM) version designed for CQB, lighter and easier to handle than the original, equipped with a RIS rail for easy mounting of accessories and optics.
As per Tokyo Marui tradition, the replica is not made of metal, but of a special patented reinforced polymer, which guarantees excellent durability while keeping the weight down. Important parts, such as the barrel and the slide, are made of metal.
The real strength of every Marui replica lies within. Despite the power (as per Japanese laws) being limited to about 1 Joule (95 m/s), the performance on the field is legendary. This is thanks to a maniacal quality control and an adjustable Hop-Up unit (an invention patented by Marui itself) which, with the correct BBs (0.25g - 0.28g), imprints a perfect rotational effect, guaranteeing a range and shooting stability that often surpasses much more powerful replicas.
The heart of the replica is a metal Gearbox V7 (specific for M14), known for its reliability, combined with a Short-Type High Torque (EG1000) motor. The wiring uses a Tamiya Mini connector.
