The frame, made of high-strength injection-molded polymer, encases the weapon along its entire length, providing total protection for the rear sights against accidental impacts and debris.
The heart of this platform is its unparalleled Level 3 retention system, which requires the simultaneous activation of two mechanisms to release the pistol. The first is the famous patented SERPA Auto-Lock™ system: an intuitive and optimized "L"-shaped button, pressed with the index finger. The second is the Pivot Guard, a robust spring-loaded upper arch that blocks the rear of the slide, instinctively disengaged with a thumb push. Despite the dual security, the release movement follows the natural mechanics of the hand, allowing for a fluid, rapid, and secure draw even under intense tactical stress. A screw for fine-tuning passive retention completes the setup.
As standard, the holster is equipped with the innovative Jacket Slot Duty Belt Loop. The Two-Finger Dance (Index + Thumb): Mastering a Level 3 holster requires training. The secret to a lightning-fast draw is simultaneity: as your hand descends to grasp the Glock's grip, your thumb pushes the upper Pivot Guard forward and down, while your index finger presses the side SERPA button. Train religiously in "Dry Fire" and use your airsoft replicas for Force-on-Force simulations until this dual movement becomes pure muscle memory.
Index Finger Discipline (Trigger Discipline): This is the most important advice you'll receive on using the SERPA system. When you press the "L"-shaped release button, your index finger must be rigid and extended, not bent or "hooked." By pressing with the pad of your extended finger, as soon as the pistol exits the holster, your finger will naturally and safely slide onto the weapon's frame. If you bend your finger, there's a risk it could inadvertently slip inside the trigger guard. Finger extended, always!
Warning on .40 Caliber (Glock 22/23 Gen 5): If you are purchasing this holster for duty and your service weapon is a Glock 22 or 23 (.40 S&W caliber), pause for a moment and check the generation. If you have a Gen 5 in that caliber, it will not fit. Glock had to significantly thicken the slide of the Gen 5 .40 caliber to handle the pressures, making them incompatible with this specific mold. No problem, however, for all 9x19mm versions (17, 19, 45, 47) of any generation, including Gen 5.
