This delayer from TopMax Elaborazioni is a targeted upgrade component for one of the most complex replicas to upgrade: the UMAREX/VFC MP7 AEG (compatible with both Gen1 and Gen2).
Made of molded and precisely shaped technopolymer, its function is to modify the opening phase of the tappet plate, delaying it. This ensures that the air nozzle remains retracted for a fraction of a second longer, allowing the BBs to rise correctly into the hop-up unit even during rapid bursts, eliminating "empty" feeding issues.
Important Installation Notes:
The delayer is not a simple snap-fit. The manufacturer strongly recommends gluing it onto the sector gear using strong cyanoacrylate adhesives (e.g., Loctite Attak Gel or similar). Furthermore, to properly manage the firing cycle with this component, an excellent understanding of AEG mechanics is required, and adaptation (filing/fitting) of the tappet plate may be necessary.
