This tappet plate spring from FPS Softair (Code: MASV2/V3) is a fundamental component to ensure a reliable firing cycle. The tappet plate spring is often overlooked, but if it loses tension (yield) or breaks, it causes misfeeds or air leaks.
FPS has created this component with industrial materials of the highest quality: blued and pre-tempered carbon steel wire with the addition of silicon and chromium (EN10270/2 standard). To ensure superior performance, immediately after forming, the spring is stabilized in an oven at 400°C for 30 minutes.
This heat treatment optimizes the elastic memory of the material, ensuring that the tappet plate returns to its position with the correct speed and force even after intensive use, preventing feeding issues.
