The 116mm Fluted Outer Barrel Extension by SLONG Airsoft is the ideal accessory to customize and optimize your replica. Made of CNC machined aluminum to ensure maximum lightness and sturdiness, this extension allows you to cover a longer precision inner barrel or extend the muzzle beyond the handguard to facilitate the installation of silencers, tracers, or flash hiders. Equipped with a standard 14mm Counter-Clockwise (CCW) thread on both ends, it adapts to the vast majority of airsoft rifles on the market.

Aggressive Design and Functionality:
SLONG Airsoft is known for its high-quality custom parts, and this outer barrel extension is no exception. The "fluted" design along the body not only has a purely aesthetic function, giving an aggressive and modern look ("bull barrel" style) to your replica, but also helps to further reduce the overall weight of the piece, stopping the scale at only 55 grams. This way, you will lengthen the front of your rifle without unbalancing it forward.
Solution for Custom Setups:
This 116mm extension is a real lifesaver in two typical scenarios: when you decide to mount an inner barrel much longer than the original and need a rigid shell to protect and stabilize it, or when you have mounted a custom handguard (e.g., an M-LOK rail) that covers the original thread of the rifle, preventing you from screwing on accessories. With the double 14mm Counter-Clockwise (CCW) thread, the installation is plug-and-play and universal for almost all M4, AK, SMG, and bolt action platforms on the market.
Be careful when unscrewing the silencer: Having a double CCW thread, there is a risk that, when trying to unscrew a silencer mounted on the tip, the extension may inadvertently unscrew from the rifle barrel as well. If you are sure of your configuration and want the extension to become a fixed part of the original outer barrel, apply a microscopic drop of medium (blue) threadlocker on the female thread of the extension before screwing it onto the rifle. Warning: never use strong (red) threadlocker!
Flute alignment: Sometimes, when screwing the extension all the way in, the aesthetic flutes may not align perfectly with the lines of your handguard. To solve this aesthetic "problem", get a set of outer barrel shims or very small O-rings: inserting them on the rifle's thread before screwing on the extension, you can "phase" the extension to make it stop exactly with the flutes facing where you prefer, ensuring a tight tightening.
