Full Frame and MIL-SPEC Protection:
The Vision Type-X by Mechanix Wear doesn't compromise. Unlike frameless models, the solid matte black full frame encases the dual polycarbonate lenses, offering unparalleled structural rigidity for the most aggressive tactical operators and airsoft players. These glasses are true shields: they meet the stringent civil impact standards (ANSI Z87.1) and the military ballistic safety certification (MIL-PRF 32432), stopping high-speed impacts without flinching.
Ventilated Temples and Advanced Anti-Fog:
The biggest enemy on the field? Fogging. Mechanix has solved the problem on two fronts. Internally, the lens boasts an advanced anti-fog coating that dissipates fog six times faster than standard models (while the exterior has a scratch-resistant hard shell). Structurally, the side temples feature ventilation slots: these air intakes channel airflow and keep the face cool, expelling heat generated by physical exertion. Co-injected TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) nose piece and temple tips keep the glasses glued to the face even when dripping with sweat.
The Magic of Ventilated Temples: Those who play airsoft using helmets, caps, or balaclavas know very well that body heat rises upwards and gets trapped behind the glasses, causing instant condensation. The slots on the temples of these Type-X are a real "game changer": if you are fogging up after a long run, just turn your head or take two steps to let a stream of air enter from the side vents and clear the view in a second!
Type-X (Full Frame) vs Type-N (Frameless): Which one to choose? If you use precision optics (snipers) and want zero edges to disturb your peripheral vision, go for the Type-N model. If, on the other hand, you are assaulters, throw yourself in the mud, crawl in the bushes and want glasses that convey extreme structural solidity (and that "Heavy" operator look that the black frame gives), the Type-X is your definitive choice.
Life-Saving Cleaning: As with all professional glasses with advanced Anti-Fog treatment on the inner face of the lens: NEVER clean them dry! Rubbing dust and dirt dry destroys the chemical film. At the end of the game, run them under the tap water and dab them with the microfiber bag. They will last for years.
