The Set of 25 Shims 0.05mm (4mm Shaft) by RetroArms is the secret weapon of the most demanding mechanical tuners. Designed exclusively for gears with an oversized 4mm shaft (such as PandoRA or NGRS systems), these ultra-thin shims of half a tenth of a millimeter (0.05 mm) allow you to eliminate even the most microscopic axial play without risking blocking the rotation. The result? Incredibly smooth mechanics, a very silent gearbox and a drastic increase in battery efficiency and the lifespan of internal components.

Master-Level Micro-Adjustments:
Shimming gears is not a simple assembly, it is a true art that distinguishes a professional technician from a hobbyist. Very often, adding a standard 0.1mm shim makes the gear too tight and causes friction, removing it makes it too "wobbly". RetroArms solves this eternal dilemma by offering you a package of 25 ultra-thin 0.05mm shims. With this extreme measurement, you can achieve absolutely perfect coupling, reducing friction almost to zero.
Specific for 4mm Shafts:
Unlike standard replicas that use 3mm shafts, some high-performance or new-generation mechanics (such as PandoRA gears from RetroArms itself or NGRS systems) adopt robust 4mm shafts to withstand higher mechanical stresses. These shims are calibrated to the hundredth of a millimeter to fit perfectly on these oversized pins, avoiding eccentricity or abnormal movements during the most intense bursts.
HOLD ON (Measure your gears!): Before putting this product in the cart, be 100% sure that you have mechanics with 4mm shafts. 90% of the AEGs on the market (the classic M4, AK, etc.) have gears with a 3mm shaft. If you put these 4mm shims on a 3mm shaft, they will "dance" off-center and will rub where they shouldn't, causing damage! Only take them if you have specific components (PandoRA, NGRS, etc.).
The superpower of 0.05mm: Anyone who fiddles with Gearboxes knows it. Close the gearbox shell, turn the gear with your finger... it turns freely but has a bit of axial play. Add a 0.1mm shim, close everything, and the gear is stuck. This is where 0.05mm saves your life and liver. Having the half measure available is literally the secret to silent and indestructible setups.
Don't trust the factory: Many new "out of the box" replicas, despite having expensive components, are poorly shimmed in the assembly line. Sometimes, disassembling a newly purchased replica and redoing the shimming using these micro-shims for a few euros is the smartest and most vital upgrade you can do to avoid shredding the gears after 3000 BBs.
