The Steel RMR Red Dot Base Plate with Raised Sights, original Action Army, is the ultimate optic upgrade for your AAP-01. Made of solid steel for extreme durability, it allows you to mount optics with an RMR footprint while integrating a backup sight system (Co-Witness). If the Red Dot fails, you can continue aiming through the glass thanks to the integrated raised sights!

The raised sights, integrated directly into the rear base and the included front sight, remain perfectly visible through the lens of your red dot, guaranteeing an emergency mechanical aiming system always ready for use.

Instant Target Acquisition:
Switching from iron sights to a Red Dot requires training: at first, it's easy to "lose" the bright dot by tilting the pistol incorrectly. This raised base is the perfect bridge to learn! By using the rear notch and the front sight (equipped with a high-visibility insert), you just need to align the pistol as you normally would: once the mechanical sights are aligned, the red dot will magically appear in the center of the lens. An incredible aid in developing muscle memory.

Indestructible Steel Construction:
Unlike classic polymer or aluminum bases, Action Army has milled this kit from pure steel. This guarantees unmatched wear resistance and prevents the threads for the Red Dot screws from stripping due to the continuous vibrations of the recoil.

Pro Maintenance Tips for Installation

Footprint Matters (RMR Footprint): This mount uses the RMR standard. Make sure your Red Dot uses this precise hole pattern. It will work great for Trijicon RMR, SRO clones, and many Holosun or Vector Optics models. It is NOT compatible with optics with a different footprint (such as Docter, MRO, or Shield RMSc style micro series), unless you use additional adapter plates, which would negate the alignment of the sights!

Steel Against Steel: Since the plate is made of solid steel, the screws of your Red Dot will get an excellent grip. However, the vibrations of the blowback are the number one enemy of optics. Always apply a small drop of blue threadlocker (medium strength) to both the screws that secure the base to the pistol and those that anchor the Red Dot to the base. You will avoid unpleasant surprises on the field!
