The MOS System (Plates Included):
The true heart of this GLOCK 17 Gen5 is the integration of the MOS (Modular Optic System) directly on the slide. By removing the top cover plate, you can install Red Dot optical sights. The huge advantage of this CO2 model is that the adapter plates with Docter, Trijicon, C-More, and Leupold footprints are already included in the package (you won't have to purchase them separately as with the Green Gas counterpart). This ensures lightning-fast target acquisition and an immediately operational setup for CQB or competitions.
CNC Construction and Realistic Recoil:
To withstand the stress of the CO2 system and the additional weight of a potential Red Dot, Umarex has equipped this replica with a solid CNC-milled aluminum slide. Gen 5 Ergonomics and Total Control:

Pro Maintenance Tips for a Perfect Setup
Beware of Red Dot vibrations: This is a CO2 replica with a heavy CNC aluminum slide. The recoil is truly crisp and powerful. Now that you have your fantastic included MOS plates and are ready to mount your micro Red Dot, remember absolutely to apply a drop of blue (medium strength) threadlocker to the screws of the adapter plate and the optic. Without threadlocker, the strong vibrations from CO2 blowback will loosen the screws after a couple of magazines, causing you to lose zero or, worse, making the dot fly off!
Tactical Lubrication: CO2 gas is very dry (unlike Green Gas which contains lubricant). After each game, always spray a thin layer of silicone oil on the magazine's exhaust valve and the seal where the CO2 cartridge rests. This will keep the seals soft over time and prevent annoying gas leaks in the future.
