Turkish Power and Smooth Firing Cycle:
Those who use blank guns know the reputation of Özkursan well: their ammunition is famous for being among the "loudest" on the market. In a semi-automatic pistol, however, power is not enough: the case must enter and exit the chamber in fractions of a second. For this reason, Özkursan has adopted the "Y NIK" (Yellow Nikel) finish. This special treatment gives the metal a golden color and, above all, an ultra-smooth (anti-seize) surface that makes the case slide away after firing, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted bursts.
The Magic of the Cup Closure:
Like all 8mm calibers for semi-automatics, the tip of these rounds is sealed by the classic green plastic "cup". This small cap is the secret to the realism of your weapon: by retaining the explosive gases for a millisecond, it creates the retrograde pressure (back-pressure) necessary to forcefully push the heavy metal slide backward. The result is a perfect simulated recoil, the clean ejection of the "Yellow Nikel" case, and a spectacular muzzle flash.
WARNING - No drums! At the risk of sounding repetitive, it is essential to remember: these rounds are 8mm caliber (without a protruding flange on the base). They are designed EXCLUSIVELY for the magazines of Beretta or Glock-style semi-automatic pistols. If you have a drum revolver, these rounds will slip out and will not work. For revolvers, look for the .380 R caliber in our catalog!
Why Yellow Nikel and not Brass? At first glance, they may seem like normal raw brass cases, but touching them you will notice that they are much smoother. The "Yellow Nikel" treatment acts as a natural solid lubricant. If you have a slightly "fussy" blank gun that tends to jam cases during ejection, try these rounds: the greater smoothness often magically solves the weapon's cycling problems!
Clean the extractor: The cup closure does its job, but when it explodes it vaporizes tiny residues of green plastic mixed with gunpowder. This dirt tends to accumulate under the "tooth" of the extractor (the hook on the slide that hooks the case to throw it out). After an intense shooting session, always run an old toothbrush and a little Svitol on the face of the bolt to keep it clean and snappy!
