Original LOWA Quality:
There's nothing worse than breaking a bootlace in the middle of a forest, during a patrol, or a demanding hike. That's why it's essential to rely on original spare parts certified by the manufacturer. These LOWA laces use a special hybrid construction of polyester and cotton. This material guarantees extreme tear resistance, does not rot with humidity, and, above all, offers that slight elastic "give" that is essential when tightening the knot, accommodating the natural movements of the instep during walking.
Fluid Sliding (3mm Round Profile):
Unlike traditional flat laces that tend to twist or bulk up, the 3-millimeter diameter round section design has been specifically designed for tactical hardware. The lace slides smoothly and without hitches through closed eyelets, fabric loops, or open quick hooks of your boots. This allows you to tighten, lace, or remove the footwear in record time, even in total darkness or while wearing heavy winter gloves.
Reliability for Mid-Cut Boots:
Thanks to the developed length of 155 cm, this pair of laces is ideal for covering the needs of medium-profile technical footwear (Mid-cut). The high-density woven structure drastically reduces wear from rubbing against the metal edges of the eyelets, ensuring consistent performance over time even under the typical stresses of intensive military and outdoor uses.
The Meter Rule (How to choose the size): "Will these laces be good for my boots?" This is the question you ask us most often in the store! The 155 centimeters are the perfect size for mid-cut boots (the classic "Mid" models like the Lowa Zephyr Mid or the Z-6S). If you have the "Hi" or Z-8S version (the very high one that reaches almost to the calf), these laces will be too short. To remove any doubt, take off your old lace and measure it: if it is between 150 and 160 cm, proceed with the purchase!
The Emergency Kit in the Backpack: A broken lace during a 24H or a long Mil-Sim event can literally ruin your weekend, forcing you to walk with your shoe untied. This causes the foot to slip, causing very painful blisters or, worse, sprained ankles. Always put a pair of spare laces in a pocket of your utility pouch or backpack. They weigh only 19 grams, but when needed they will save your game!
Use the locking hooks! If your tactical boots have locking hooks halfway up the instep, remember to use them correctly. They allow you to make two different tensions: you can keep the lace nice and tight on the sole of the foot to prevent your toes from moving on steep descents, and leave it slightly looser on the ankle to drastically improve blood circulation!
