Total Camouflage Customization:
Net bases and boleros are just the "blank canvas" for a true sharpshooter or scout. Invader Gear yarn skeins allow you to fill the meshes of your ghillie, giving volume and three-dimensionality to your equipment. Thanks to the wide range of colors available, you can mix different shades to exactly replicate the undergrowth, arid environment, or wooded area in which you will operate, obtaining a level of camouflage that no printed camo can match.
High-Resistance Materials:
Each skein contains filaments pre-cut to a length of 50 cm, the ideal size to be folded in half and knotted to the net without hindering movement. They are made with the highest quality synthetic materials that resist accidental tears against brambles and branches, do not soak up water like real jute, and maintain their color unchanged over time even after being immersed in mud.
Easy Application:
Applying these threads is a simple but fundamental operation for the success of the setup. They are quickly fixed to the ghillie net using a classic and fast knot. This modular system allows you not only to thicken the camouflage as desired, but also to remove or reposition the colors if the vegetation of your playing field changes with the passing of the seasons.
The Art of Mixing: The secret to a perfect Ghillie is that solid colors do not exist in nature! Never buy just one skein. For a standard Italian woodland, take a base of Olive or Forest Green (about 60% of the volume) and mix it with Coyote and Dark Brown (the remaining 40%) to simulate soil, dry branches, and dead leaves. If the field is very dark or humid, use the Crocodile (Swamp) color to tie the other shades together: it is the ultimate wild card color.
The Larks Head Knot: To fix the threads to the net firmly and quickly, use this knot: take a tuft of 4-5 threads (do not take too many otherwise you create a visible "clump"), fold them in half creating a loop. Pass the loop under the mesh of the net, then insert the tails of the threads inside the loop and pull. It will never come undone, but you can undo it in an instant if you need to change color.
Dirty them mercilessly: When you have finished assembling your Ghillie, the new threads will seem too "clean" and shiny. Before using it in a game, wet it, run it through the mud, rub it on the ground and let it dry outdoors. The synthetic threads will fray slightly and take on a matte and "worn" appearance, making the concealment literally frightening.
