Minimalist Bolero Design:
Designed for the needs of modern snipers and scouts, this Viper Hood is based on a "bolero" cut that covers the head, shoulders, upper back and arms, leaving the front torso free. This design drastically reduces the overall weight (only 620 grams) and prevents body overheating, while allowing immediate and unobstructed access to the pockets of your tactical gear. The front closure relies on a robust adjustable Fastex chest buckle.
"Skeletonized" Tactical Hood:
The oversized hood was designed to be worn without problems over ballistic helmets (such as Fast Helmet or Mich), without in any way limiting the range of motion of the head or the operator's peripheral vision. The edge of the hood integrates a flexible moldable wire that allows you to shape the visor according to your needs, while the elastic drawcords (shock cords) guarantee a micrometric adjustment to perfectly adhere to the operator's profile.
Modular Platform for Concealment:
The lightweight but durable fabric is entirely covered by a dense grid mesh (netting). This mesh provides countless anchor points for the insertion of natural foliage collected in the field (branches, grass, ferns) or artificial camouflage material (jute strips, 3D leaves, disruptive fabrics). The sleeves are equipped with integrated elastic drawcords to compact the fabric and prevent annoying snags in dense vegetation.
The Art of Concealment (80/20 Rule): Do not completely fill the Viper Hood with artificial jute before arriving on the field! The secret of true snipers is local camouflage. Prepare your base by inserting 20% or 30% of artificial 3D leaves, rope or jute (to "break" the human silhouette). Once you arrive on the playing field, use the net to insert ferns, branches and local grass (the remaining 70/80%). Only then will you truly become invisible and blend in with the specific environment of your game.
Take advantage of the moldable wire: The visor with the metal wire core is a stroke of genius. If you are aiming prone for long hours under the sun, bend the visor downwards to form a "roof": it will shade the optics, eliminating reflections (natural killflash) and completely hide the movement of your eyes or the reflection of your protective glasses!
Arm management: Before getting into the brambles, tighten the elastic cords (shock cords) on the sleeves well. By compacting the fabric around the arms, you will prevent the mesh from getting caught in every branch, allowing you to crawl silently without having to stop continuously to unhook yourself from the brambles.
