The Original for your Taurus:
The Taurus PT99 and PT92 replicas produced by KWC (often marketed under official Cybergun license) are famous for their heavy blowback and the burst fire mode present on some models. To withstand this mechanical stress, you need a magazine up to the task: this monolithic block in metal alloy is designed to safely handle the very high pressures of CO2. It guarantees smooth firing cycles and excellent autonomy, without suffering from the power drops typical of gas in the winter months.
Heavy Duty Construction and High Capacity:
The magazine easily houses a standard 12-gram cartridge, which can be inserted by unscrewing the practical bottom cap with the supplied Allen key. With a nominal capacity of 26 6mm caliber BBs, it offers you an enviable volume of fire, essential if you use your PT99 in close quarter battles (CQB) or if you like to use the selector in Full-Auto mode.
THE FATAL MISTAKE (The Umarex M9A3 Trap): Visually, the Taurus and M9A3 magazines look almost identical and, incredibly, this PT99 magazine fits perfectly into the frame of the Umarex CO2 M9A3. But NEVER do it! The upper seal and lips of this magazine have an offset of a few tenths of a millimeter compared to the air block of the M9A3. If you use it, the pistol will fire, but the misalignment will create abnormal friction which, in the long run, will literally shatter the air nozzle of your Beretta!
Ideal Capacity (The Rule of 25): Although the manufacturer declares 26 shots, the springs of these KWC double-stack magazines are very hard to guarantee perfect feeding even in bursts. Always stop at 24 or 25 BBs: you will preserve the plastic retention lips and insert the magazine into the weapon much more gently.
CO2 Tightening: When you screw the bottom cap with the Allen key, do it with a firm but controlled movement. Stop as soon as you feel that the pin has pierced the capsule and the gas is no longer leaking. Overtightening will not give you more power, it will only destroy the internal green seal in record time!
