Insurance for Your Magazines (Shock Absorption):
During competitions or the most heated CQB engagements, seconds make the difference. Reloading quickly means dropping the empty magazine to the ground (Drop Mag). However, this risks destroying the bases and valves of your precious gas magazines. PTS has engineered the Enhanced Pistol Shockplate Gen 2 specifically for this: the angled design and hybrid composition of reinforced polymer and hard rubber perfectly calculate and absorb the vertical impact, minimizing drop damage.
Dot Matrix and Tactical Identification:
A true operator always knows which magazine they are using and which one has problems. PTS has included a grooved "Dot Matrix" (dot grid) on the bottom of these pads. Using a paint marker, you can blacken or color the dots to form numbers, letters, or pictograms. This way you can number your magazines (e.g., 1, 2, 3), insert your initials to avoid confusing them with those of your teammates, or visually mark a magazine that needs maintenance.
ATTENTION TO GAS vs CO2: This kit is designed for the flat bases of classic Green Gas magazines (Marui standard). Do not buy them for CO2 magazines! CO2 magazines (like WE or KJW) need a lot of space on the bottom to accommodate the bulky screw cap of the canister, so these ultra-flat and compact pads will never fit.
How to use the Dot Matrix: To mark your magazines on the bottom grid, we do not recommend classic black permanent markers (which would not be visible) or chalks (which would come off with sweat). Use a fine-tipped white or silver acrylic paint pen. Fill in the desired dots, let it dry for a few minutes and you will have a professional marking resistant to rain and rubbing!
Drop Mag yes, but with your head: These Shockplates do an excellent job of absorbing shocks on grass, dirt, wood, or rubber CQB floors. However, we remind you that dropping a 300-gram magazine directly onto rough concrete or sharp stones from a meter and a half high is always a risk. Protect them, but if you play on asphalt, always try to cushion the fall!
