Extreme Protection (NRR 33 dB):
Often underestimated, classic foam earplugs are actually one of the most effective protection tools on the market. Earmor's MaxDefense M01 boasts an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) certification of 33 Decibels. This means that, when inserted correctly, they physically block sound waves more effectively than many rigid and bulky headsets. They are the ideal choice for indoor shooting ranges, for those who work with heavy machinery, or for those who want to sleep in total silence.
Memory Foam (Slow Rebound) and Hygiene:
The secret of these earplugs lies in the material: a special hypoallergenic "slow rebound" polyurethane foam. Unlike cheap earplugs that expand violently causing ear pain, the M01s compress easily between your fingers and, once inserted, inflate gently and gradually, perfectly copying the anatomy of your ear canal. The outer surface is smooth and tapered, treated to resist dust and ensure maximum hygiene during use.
The "Roll, Insert, Hold" Rule: 90% of people use foam earplugs the wrong way, simply pushing them into the ear (not getting any isolation). The correct procedure is also printed on the sachet: 1) ROLL: Roll the plug between your thumb and forefinger, squeezing it until it becomes a very thin cylinder. 2) INSERT: With the opposite hand, gently pull the auricle upwards and backwards to "straighten" the ear canal, and insert the plug deeply. 3) HOLD: Hold a finger pressed on the plug for about 15-20 seconds, giving it time to expand slowly and seal the noise!
"Double Protection" (For Indoor Shooting Ranges): If you shoot with very noisy calibers (such as .308 or .357 Magnum) inside indoor shooting ranges (tunnels), the reverberation is tremendous. Professional shooters use this technique: they insert these M01 plugs into their ears and then wear their Earmor electronic headsets (M31 or M32) over. The headphones will be turned up to maximum volume to let you hear the voices of the range officer, but the physical blast will be blocked twice. Armored eardrums!
The "Unprepared Friends": They cost very little, weigh nothing, and are sealed. Always buy 4 or 5 extra pairs and throw them in the bottom of your duffel bag or in the dashboard of your car.
