Pro Maintenance Tips for a Perfect Setup
The Golden Rule of the Side Zip: A broken zip is every operator's worst nightmare! To avoid stressing it, proceed as follows: the first time you wear the boot, keep the zip closed and adjust the front lacing until you find the perfect tension, then make a nice double knot. From that moment on, forget about the laces! Use only the side zipper to take the boot off and on. You will have the tension of a military boot and the practicality of a slipper.
The magic of Air Cushion on Concrete: If you work in security (security guard, unarmed surveillance, events) you know how much asphalt and industrial floors destroy heels. Merrell's Air Cushion system was created precisely to dissipate this return energy from rigid floors. You will arrive at the end of the shift with your back and knees much less fatigued than when using traditional rigid boots.
Pay attention to Waterproof maintenance! To avoid ruining the WP membrane and the Cleansport NXT™ anti-odor treatment, NEVER put the boots in the washing machine and do not dry them near fire or radiators. Clean the leather and mesh with a soft brush and water. Keep the zip always clean from sand and dust (perhaps by passing an old toothbrush over it) to prevent it from jamming over time.
