Pro Maintenance Tips
The 11.1V Illusion (Be Patient!): Let's be clear. Will this IMAX B3 charge your 11.1V? Yes, it will. But delivering only 10W of maximum power (0.8A), charging a large 11.1V 3000mAh (like the TITAN or Gens Ace) will take hours and hours. Furthermore, high-performance cells prefer slightly higher charging currents to maintain good longevity. It's perfect for 7.4V, but if you constantly use large 11.1V packs, consider upgrading to at least a 20W or 60W charger (you can find them in our catalog!).
Where do I plug it in? Only the white connector! A very common mistake for beginners is trying to attach the main battery connector (the Tamiya or Deans). Wrong! On the IMAX B3, you insert ONLY the small white connector with the colored wires (the balance cable). Insert it into the 3-pin port (if it's a 7.4V) or the 4-pin port (if it's an 11.1V).
Safety is not Optional (Lipo Bag): Even though the IMAX B3 is a safe charger, Lithium batteries can be unpredictable if they have been bumped or damaged on the field. ALWAYS charge and store them inside the appropriate fireproof Lipo Bags. They cost very little, save your house in case of an accident, and you can find them directly here on our shop!
