Extreme Adherence for Body Armor:
The biggest annoyance for an operator or airsoft player is a shirt that creases and adds bulk under the tactical vest. Defcon 5 has solved the problem by replacing the classic cotton of the bust with pure Lycra® (100% Spandex). This ultra-elastic technical material wraps the body like a second skin, eliminating friction and accompanying your every movement. Being very light, it facilitates instant evaporation of body heat, further supported by the large underarm ventilation mesh.
Ripstop "Combat Ready" Sleeves:
While the chest needs to breathe, the arms must resist brambles, stones, and scrapes. The sleeves and collar are made of tough Polycotton Ripstop (60% Cotton - 40% Polyester), a tear-resistant fabric designed for extreme stress. On the arms are conveniently placed tactical pockets with secure closures and large Velcro panels for attaching unit patches, ranks, or IR accessories.
1. Size Management (Compression Fit): The pure Lycra bust has an extremely tight fit, like a compression thermal shirt. If you prefer a perfect snug fit for the plate carrier, take your usual size. If you don't like feeling too "wrapped" on the abdomen, we recommend considering one size up!
2. Pocket Setup: The upper arm pockets are positioned high to be accessible even when wearing a full tactical vest. Use them for flat and vital objects: a small map, a waterproof notepad, or a microfiber cloth to quickly clean the lenses of fogged glasses.
3. "Save Lycra" Washing: Elastane is a fantastic material but does not like high temperatures. Wash this Combat Shirt strictly at 30°C and NEVER put it in the dryer, otherwise the elastic fibers of the Lycra will "cook", forever losing their adherence and leaving the shirt soft and deformed.
