Aggressive Aesthetics and Balance:
Do you want to transform your standard pistol into a competition weapon or a modern tactical setup? The LUDUS compensator by Secutor was designed exactly for this. While it is a purely aesthetic accessory in the world of airsoft (since there are no real exhaust gases to divert), it adds a slight weight to the end of the barrel that helps balance the replica, providing a visual and tactile feedback of the highest level.
Always Perfect Alignment:
The biggest nightmare of threaded compensators is alignment. Often, when screwing them in all the way, they remain crooked or upside down. Secutor has solved the problem brilliantly: the LUDUS compensator is equipped with a grub screw (locking grain) hidden on the bottom. Simply screw it onto the barrel, unscrew it slightly to perfectly align it with the sides of the slide, and tighten the grub screw to lock it in place like a rock!
The Secret for Tilting Barrels (e.g. Glock): On Glock-style replicas and similar, the barrel is "tilting". This means that during the blowback, the barrel retracts and tilts slightly, ending up partially inside the slide. WARNING: If you screw the compensator in until it touches completely against the slide, the latter will hit against it, blocking the firing cycle! The trick is to unscrew the compensator by one or two millimeters, leaving a little "light" (space) between it and the slide, and then lock it with the grub screw. This way the pistol will cycle smoothly and without jamming!
Threaded Barrel is Mandatory! Before purchasing, verify that your pistol has threading at the muzzle (threaded Outer Barrel). If your barrel is smooth, you will need to purchase a specific adapter for your pistol model before you can mount this compensator!
Lock that Grub Screw: The blowback of a gas pistol creates dry and violent vibrations. When you have found the perfect alignment of the compensator, put a micro-drop of blue (medium) threadlocker on the lower grub screw before tightening it. It will ensure that the compensator does not rotate or fly away during the game.
Holster Issue: Mounting a compensator lengthens the overall size of your pistol by a couple of centimeters. Make sure you have an open-bottom or adjustable holster, otherwise the pistol will no longer fit all the way in!
