The "Athena" sights from APS are designed for the operator who accepts no compromises. They are the perfect solution as a backup iron sight (BUIS) system to be paired with a magnified optic, allowing for a lightning-fast transition to close-quarters engagement with a simple tilt of the replica. But their ingenuity doesn't stop there: they offer three distinct sighting systems to adapt to any lighting condition and any tactical need.
A "THREE-IN-ONE" SIGHTING SYSTEM
- 45° Offset Sights: The primary system. By tilting the weapon, the sights are instantly aligned for close-quarters combat, without having to remove the main optic.
- Raised Fiber Optic Sights: When in the "flip-up" position, the front sight with fiber optic insert captures ambient light for a highly visible aiming point, ideal for daytime use.
- "Glow in the Dark" Low Profile Sights: When folded down, the sights function as a low-profile 3-dot system. The dots charge with light and become luminescent (phosphorescent), ensuring an effective aiming reference even in total darkness.
