The main problem with normal winter hats is the thickness of the seams: when you wear them under a helmet or headset, the pressure turns the seam into a needle pressing against the skull. Clawgear has solved the problem by engineering the Beanie LW (LightWeight) with flatlock seams. This design eliminates the thickness of the fabric joining points, ensuring absolute comfort even during prolonged missions, tactical training sessions or long Mil-Sim games with the helmet on.

Double-Layer Band and Advanced Materials:
To ensure maximum warmth where it is needed without making the top of the head sweat, the perimeter area of the cap (the one that covers the forehead and ears) is constructed with a double-layer fabric. The technical composition of the yarn (60% Modacrylic, 35% Viscose, 5% Elastane) combines the breathability and silky softness of viscose with the thermal resistance of modacrylic. Finally, the 5% elastane ensures that the cap fits perfectly ("close-fitting") to the shape of the head without ever giving way or loosening over time.

Thanks to its ultra-low profile (only 1 cm thick) and imperceptible weight (25g), this cap is not only relegated to the role of tactical balaclava. If you use FAST or MICH type helmets with wheel retention systems (like BOA), you know that tightening them over a normal wool hat causes headaches after half an hour. This Clawgear LW is the solution: being thin and tight like a second skin, the helmet pads will grip firmly, you won't have seams digging into your forehead and you'll keep your head warm without sacrificing ballistic safety.

The Importance of Modacrylic: Are you wondering what Modacrylic is? It is a premium synthetic fiber very famous in the tactical and aerospace sector! It is intrinsically flame retardant (resists flames and does not melt easily) and is very soft. Having 60% of it in this cap means having a robust, safe and very pleasant product in contact with the sensitive skin of the face.

Instructions for long life (Washing): The fabric is thin and highly technological, so treat it well. Maximum washing at 30°C with a delicate cycle. Never use bleach, do not dry clean and above all never iron it (the elastane would be ruined instantly). You can put it in the dryer, but only at very low temperatures. The best way is still to wash it by hand and let it air dry!
