The Ghillie Base (Plain) by Invader Gear is the perfect platform to create your custom camouflage suit from scratch. This half-figure tactical garment (Bolero/Mantle style) is made of sturdy breathable mesh and completely covered with a checkerboard mesh designed for knotting jute threads or inserting natural vegetation. Thanks to the open front design, it allows free access to chest rigs and tactical vests without hindering movement.

Build Your Camo:
Unlike pre-assembled camouflage, the Invader Gear Ghillie Base Plain is designed as a blank canvas for the discerning sniper or spotter. Consisting of a shoulder cover with a hood, the entire structure is covered by a wide-mesh paracord grid. This allows you to knot jute threads, synthetic raffia, or wedge branches and leaves directly taken from the field (seasoning) exactly as and where needed, adapting the uniform to the specific game environment in a handcrafted and professional way.
Mobility and Equipment Access:
The main problem with classic sniper suits is the difficulty of accessing pockets and overheating the body. This clever "bolero" design solves the problem by leaving the chest and abdomen completely free. You can comfortably wear your Plate Carrier or Chest Rig to always have immediate access to magazines and radio. The front snap buckles and adjustable elastic drawcords (shock cords) on the arms ensure that the ghillie remains firmly on the body in any situation, from crawling movements to sudden sprints.
Shapeable Tactical Hood:
The oversized hood is also made of mesh to dissipate heat and prevent fogging of glasses. It is large enough to be worn directly over a helmet. The real stroke of genius is the flexible metal wire sewn along the perimeter edge: this allows you to bend the hood brim as you like, creating a perfect visual "window" that will never obstruct your eyes or the view of the rifle scope.

Pro Maintenance Tips for Perfect Camo
The Magic of "Seasoning": Being a blank base, most of the work is up to you! For an optimal 3D effect, tie bundles of frayed jute to the grid in at least three different shades (green, brown and a touch of tan). The secret of real snipers? Don't fill every single square or you'll look like a big shapeless bush! Alternate full areas with empty spaces to naturally break up the shape of the shoulders.
Use the environment: Once on the field, use the elastics and the grid to wedge in real local vegetation (dead leaves, ferns or twigs from the area where you are about to play). This will make you real ghosts. But remember to remove all the "real" foliage at the end of the game to prevent it from rotting on your fantastic Invader Gear base!
