The RAD (Rail Attachment Device) Adapters for OMNIVORE™ Holster by BLACKHAWK® are essential attachment modules for your universal holster (in the Non-Light Bearing version). These polymer blocks securely attach to the under-barrel Picatinny rail of your pistol, allowing the holster's mechanism to "bite" the adapter rather than the weapon's frame. Blackhawk's Omnivore system has revolutionized the holster market by eliminating the need to purchase a different shell for each pistol model. The secret of the "Non-Light Bearing" model (for pistols without a weapon light) lies precisely in the Rail Attachment Device (RAD). This small polymer block installs on the pistol's 20mm (Picatinny/Weaver) bottom rail. When you insert the weapon into the Omnivore holster, the Level 2 active retention system engages directly with this RAD adapter and not the weapon itself.

Purchasing additional RADs is the ultimate tactical move to fully leverage the system's modularity. By installing an adapter on each of your airsoft replicas (whether it's a Glock, an M&P9, a CZ, or a 1911 equipped with a rail), you'll never have to waste time with screws and screwdrivers again. You'll simply extract one pistol and insert another into the same Blackhawk holster, switching between loadouts in seconds. Constructed from impact-resistant polymer, they add imperceptible weight (only 15 grams) to the front of the weapon, maintaining its balance.

Pro Tips:

The Light Rule: I'm giving you a crucial warning to avoid incorrect purchases. These adapters are ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY for the "plain" Omnivore holster (the one you use when you don't mount lights on your weapon). If you own the Omnivore for Surefire X300 or for Streamlight TLR-1/2, this part is useless to you! In those holsters, the retention system bites directly into the body of the weapon light, which itself acts as an "adapter."

Tighten Just Right: When mounting the RAD on the polymer rail of your airsoft replica, don't overtighten the screws. The frames of airsoft Glocks or M&P9s are made of plastic, not the ballistic polymer of their real counterparts. If you tighten the screws "to death," you risk deforming the weapon's rail. Secure the adapter until it's firm and doesn't wobble, perhaps adding a tiny drop of light blue threadlocker to prevent it from unscrewing due to blowback vibrations.
