Uncompromising "Real Steel" Quality:
When you mount a Streamlight on your replica, you are using a device designed to withstand the recoil of real firearms. The TLR-3 is the flagship of ultra-compact lights: its body is injection-molded from a special high-strength polymer, while the BOROFLOAT® tempered glass lens (resistant to thermal shock) is set in a solid aerospace-grade aluminum bezel. The result is an indestructible light, IPX7 certified (waterproof up to 1 meter for 30 minutes).
Maximum Performance, Minimum Size:
Less than 7 centimeters long, the TLR-3 perfectly matches the profile of compact pistols, without protruding beyond the muzzle and keeping the weapon's center of gravity unchanged. Activation (constant or momentary) is entrusted to a rear ambidextrous lever, extremely intuitive to operate even under high stress or while wearing tactical gloves.
LUMEN vs CANDELA (Don't be fooled by the numbers!): Do 170 Lumens seem few compared to the Chinese "1000 lumen" flashlights? We'll reveal a secret. Lumen only measures the total "amount" of light emitted. Candela measures how much that light is "concentrated" in one point. Imagine a water pipe: the cheap replicas "spray" light everywhere, dispersing it immediately; the Streamlight reflector, on the other hand, works like a high-pressure nozzle, concentrating its 170 lumens into a very precise beam of 3,300 candela. This means you'll pierce the darkness, identifying the opponent up to 115 meters away, while keeping the flashlight tiny!
The Secret of the Rail Keys: Don't screw the flashlight onto the pistol randomly! In the package you will find several small numbered/labeled plastic plates (e.g. "GL" for Glock, "1913" for standard Picatinny). Identify the correct one for your rail, insert it into the flashlight slot, and then tighten the side screw. This will prevent the flashlight from "wobbling" back and forth on the frame during cycling.
CR2 Batteries (Beware of rechargeables!): The flashlight is designed to use disposable 3V CR2 lithium batteries. Avoid buying rechargeable CR2 batteries of dubious origin: they often deliver voltages higher than 3.7V as soon as they are removed from the charger and risk burning out the precious LED circuit of your Streamlight!
