The Evolution of Detail by PTS:
PTS EPM magazines are legendary for their reliability, and this Enhanced Polymer Magazine Baseplate is designed to take them to the next level. This is not just a simple end cap. The base has been redesigned with an angled geometry and covered with a high-grip rubber layer. This allows the operator to rest the rifle (using the magazine as a pivot) on walls, sills or directly on the ground, obtaining an incredibly stable shooting platform that will not slip away due to recoil.
Quick Extraction and Maximum Compatibility:
Do you know when the magazine slips between your fingers while trying to extract it from a very tight plate carrier pocket? PTS has solved the problem by creating a ribbed ledge. Just hook your index finger on this protrusion to pull out the magazine in a fraction of a second. The great advantage of this PTS design is its versatility: the sliding rails share the dimensions of the Magpul standard, making this baseplate perfectly compatible with classic airsoft PMAGs and the brand new 250-round PTS EPM1 magazines.
The Art of Indexing: What is the "indexing" that real operators talk about? It is the ability to extract a magazine and already know which way the BBs are facing, without having to look at it. Thanks to the knurled front step of this baseplate, when you put your hand in your pocket and feel the "ribs" under your index finger, your brain instantly knows how to rotate the magazine to perfectly insert it into the magwell. This saves you precious seconds in night combat or under heavy enemy fire!
The "Monopod" Technique: In airsoft (and in real steel) it is often taught not to rest the magazine on the ground while shooting to avoid jams. However, PTS polymer magazines are so solid that this rule can be broken. Thanks to the angled and rubberized bottom of this baseplate, you can literally "plant" the magazine on the edge of a window or on a trunk: the rubber will create friction and give you a very stable aim, ideal if you cover the role of designated marksman (DMR).
