Pro Maintenance Tips

Quick Assembly: Installation on the Orion is very simple. Unscrew the two screws that hold the cover plate on the slide, position this Poseidon mount and screw it back on. The advantage of this system is that, unlike mounts that replace the rear sight, here the connection is much more robust because it uses the reinforced threaded holes of the slide.

Threadlocker Required: Even if the fit is perfect, the vibrations of the blowback are the number one enemy of optics. Put a drop of blue (medium) threadlocker on both the screws that hold the plate to the slide and those that hold the red dot to the plate. This will save you from having to re-zero the optic every Sunday.

Verify the Footprint: Before screwing, compare the holes of your red dot with the Poseidon technical table to immediately identify which are the correct holes (RMR, Docter, etc.). This will prevent you from forcing screws into the wrong holes, damaging the aluminum thread.
