Custom Adjustable Power (From 1A to 5A):
Forget slow chargers that only deliver 0.8A or complex digital computers with a thousand submenus. The Delta Armory Smart Charger combines power and unparalleled intuitiveness thanks to its central analog dial. Do you have a small pistol battery? Set it to 1A. Do you have a massive 3000mAh battery pack and are you in a hurry? Turn the dial up to 3A or 4A and cut down charging times! Thanks to the integrated cooling fan, the charger will handle high amperages without ever overheating.
Universal, Safe, and Complete with Cables:
This device is a true "all-rounder". Using the dedicated button, you can instantly select the type of chemistry you are about to charge: the classic NiMH, the widespread Li-Po, or the stable Li-Fe. It supports battery packs from 1 up to 4 cells, safely charging even the monstrous 14.8V packs. Unlike many competitors, Delta Armory already includes the "octopus" cable with Mini Tamiya and T-Deans connectors in the package, saving you the purchase of inconvenient third-party adapters.
Do you have a Li-Ion battery (e.g., TITAN)? Use the Li-Po button! You won't see "Li-Ion" written on the front panel, but don't worry. Airsoft Li-Ion batteries have exactly the same voltage as Li-Po batteries (3.7V per cell). To charge them perfectly and balanced, simply select the LiPo mode. The charger will do the rest in complete safety!
THE 1C RULE (How to use the dial!): Having 5 Amperes of power is fantastic, but it doesn't mean you should always put it at maximum! Charging a small battery at 5A will cause it to swell and be destroyed. The golden rule is to charge at "1C", which is 1 Ampere for every 1000mAh of battery capacity. Example: Do you have a 1200mAh battery? Set the dial just above 1A. Do you have a 3000mAh battery? Set it to 3A. This way you will have a fast charge (about 1 hour) but very safe for the life of your cells!
Li-Po/Li-Ion batteries need TWO cables: Unlike the basic "chargers" where only the white connector is attached, on this professional model you must connect BOTH cables to the battery to charge it: attach the power cable (Tamiya or Deans) on the front, and the small white balancing connector in the side comb ports!
Don't be scared by the fan: When you set the charging to 2, 3, or 4 Amperes, the charger will make some noise. It's perfectly normal! It is the active cooling fan that turns on to keep the electronics at optimal temperatures. A cool charger is a charger that lasts a lifetime!
