The Green Gas Magazine for VX Series (25 bb) by AW Custom is the essential element to maximize the performance of your pistol. Constructed with a solid metal alloy body (weight 273 grams), it offers a capacity of 25 BBs. It comes standard with a tactical extended base pad in polymer to speed up extraction from pouches. In addition to being the native replacement for AW Custom VX-Series pistols, it boasts excellent cross-compatibility with WE and Tokyo Marui systems. AW Custom Build Quality:
Armorer Works (AW Custom) is famous for pushing the performance of gas replicas to the limit. This VX series magazine is designed to withstand the stresses of dynamic shooters and the most intense games. The metal alloy body acts as an excellent heat exchanger for Green Gas, ensuring stable pressures. The upper seal (gas route) is optimized to interface perfectly with the air nozzle, minimizing leaks and maximizing the "kick" (blowback) of the pistol with each shot.
Tactical Ergonomics and Compatibility:
One of the most appreciated features of this model is the presence of the extended polymer base pad. This "bumper" not only protects the fill valve from drops, but offers an excellent grip for quickly removing the magazine from the tactical gear (Mag-Pull). As the VX series is based on a very well-tested architecture, this magazine is able to flawlessly feed even the very popular replicas of the same category (G series style) produced by WE and Tokyo Marui.
Black or Silver? (A tactical choice): The color choice is not just aesthetic. The Silver magazine, having the bare metal in sight, hides scratches and signs of wear much better that inevitably form by rubbing against the inside of the pistol frame. Also, if it falls in the grass or mud during a quick change in an emergency (Mag-Drop), a piece of silver metal reflects the light and immediately catches the eye, saving you from a painful loss at the end of the game!
WE/Marui Compatibility (The file trick!): This magazine is mechanically compatible with WE and Marui platforms. However, be careful! The extended plastic base pad is shaped specifically for AW Custom grips. On some WE or TM pistols of other generations, this base pad may touch the edge of the frame (miniskirt) preventing the magazine from latching all the way. Don't panic: just take a fine file or sandpaper and file away about half a millimeter from the top of the plastic base pad. A 3-minute job for a perfect magazine!
Don't run dry! Golden rule of Gas Blow Back: at the end of Sunday, never empty the magazine by squeezing the rear valve. The violent venting freezes the seals, destroying them. Always store magazines with a small squirt of Green Gas inside, to keep the O-rings expanded and soft over time.
