Pro Maintenance Tips
Black or Silver? (A matter of style): Are you undecided on the color? The Black version has a fantastic anti-reflective finish, perfect for those who play airsoft or do Milsim and don't want to be noticed at night. The Silver version, being in pure bare steel, has the great advantage of hiding small scratches and signs of wear that inevitably form when using it for heavy work much better. Choose your style!
How to do the "snap" opening: Forget about using two hands or your nails to extract the pliers. Thanks to the SOG gears, just hold one of the handles, give a sharp flick of the wrist downwards (as if you wanted to throw something) and the pliers will open butterfly-style, locking in position. It is very useful if you have one hand busy holding a piece to repair or the flashlight!
The Infinity of the Magnetic Screwdriver: The 1/4" hex screwdriver positioned on top when the tool is closed is a real game-changer. You are not limited to factory tools: you can buy a trivial set of Chinese bits (Allen, Torx for optics, etc.) from the hardware store for two euros and use them all with your PowerAccess, which will act as a massive and very comfortable ergonomic handle!
