Battle-tested and universally used, the iconic M16 knife family by CRKT, designed by the legendary Kit Carson, is enriched with a new model that further elevates its performance. The M16-14XD Tanto is the latest evolution of the Carson Desert Tactical Folders, originally developed for coalition forces in the Middle East, and improves upon an already legendary design with modern technologies.
The main novelty is the introduction of the ambidextrous Crossbar Lock, a robust and easy-to-operate locking system with both hands. This, combined with the pivot with IKBS™ ball bearings (Ikoma Korth Bearing System), ensures an incredibly smooth blade opening and easy and secure closing, even with one hand.
The tanto blade is made of durable D2 steel, known for its excellent edge retention and robustness. The special Veff Serrations™ offer superior cutting performance, especially on fibrous materials, making it effective in the most demanding situations.
The handle in Grivory® (a reinforced polymer) keeps the knife light and agile, without sacrificing grip or durability. The carrying clip is configured for a Tip-Up carry.
