The Original for Heavy Calibers (Battle Rifles):
The accessory that founded the myth of the company MAGPUL® is also available for "Battle Rifles". Born to replace the handmade solutions in duct tape and paracord of snipers (DMR) and special forces, these rings in patented thermoplastic rubber feature a rough internal surface with very high grip. They guarantee absolute control of the magazine during tactical reloads, even if you are wearing thick gloves or operating in mud and rain.
Shock-Absorbing Bumper (Real Steel):
Unlike rigid plates, these rubber bands "fit" by pressure over the bottom of the magazine. Being products for real firearms (Made in USA), the compound has been engineered to withstand extreme abuse. In addition to speeding up extraction from magazine pouches (often very tight for 7.62 magazines), the thickness of the rubber acts as a formidable shock absorber, seamlessly absorbing impacts on rocky floors during "Fast Reloads".
PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIZES (Heavy Caliber Only!): Don't be fooled by the photo that looks the same as the one for the M4. These mag pulls are much wider, designed specifically for the massive bodies of 7.62 NATO magazines (like those of the SCAR-H or SR25). DO NOT buy them for 5.56 caliber M4s or AK47s: they would slip off instantly because they are too wide!
"Hot" Installation (The trick to not go crazy!): Fitting this sturdy military rubber on wide magazines (especially polymer ones like the PMAG 7.62) will require a lot of strength. Do not use pliers or screwdrivers! Immerse the mag pulls in very hot water for a couple of minutes before mounting them. The rubber will soften and expand, allowing you to easily insert them. Once cooled, they will tighten like an immovable vise.
Winding Wheel Issue (On Hi-Caps): If you use the classic winding wheel hi-cap magazines (400/500 rounds) of your SR25 or M14, keep in mind that this thick rubber band will almost completely cover the lower wheel, making it awkward to load the spring with your bare hands. Their perfect and aesthetically most pleasing use is undoubtedly on single-stack magazines (Mid-Cap).
