The Heavy SOFTSHELL Tactical Jacket by DEFCON 5 is the ultimate garment for tackling operational missions and winter airsoft games in harsh climates. Made with a water-repellent, windproof, and breathable outer layer, and internally lined with soft thermal fleece. Thermal Shield and Weather Protection:
Designed to withstand the elements without restricting movement, this softshell jacket is made from a technical blend of 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex. This combination creates a tough, water-repellent, and completely windproof outer layer, while maintaining the elasticity needed for dynamic actions. The interior is fully lined with warm fleece, which guarantees excellent thermal insulation even on the coldest days, bringing the garment's weight to 1.26 kg.
Dynamic Hood and Special Velcro:
The head protection system is designed for every scenario: the hood can be completely removed via zipper for a lighter profile, or it can be quickly rolled up and hidden inside the collar, always remaining ready for use in case of sudden rain. On the shoulders, there are high-strength wide-knit Velcro panels, a technical solution also applied to the cuffs to definitively solve the problem of fraying and accidental openings typical of brands that pay less attention to detail.
Tactical Design and Thermoregulation:
The pocket layout includes two large chest pockets with reinforced internal grommets for routing audio/radio cables. To prevent moisture build-up during exertion, the jacket is equipped with zippered ventilation openings under the sleeves. Reinforced forearms, a large "pass-through" double-zippered back pocket, and adjustable cuffs with ultra-resistant closures complete the setup.

Manage the hood according to the setup: If you are wearing a helmet or a radio setup with bulky headphones, I recommend rolling the hood into the collar. This will create extra neck support and prevent the hood from snagging or collecting rain and dirt while not in use. If, on the other hand, the day is clear and you want maximum lightness, detach it completely and leave it in your backpack!
Radio cables always protected: Use the internal grommets of the chest pockets to run the cable of your PTT. By running the cables under the jacket, you will prevent them from getting caught in the branches of the woods and protect them from the cold, which often stiffens and ruins the rubber coatings of cheap radios.
Velcro Maintenance: Even though this wide-knit Velcro is incredibly durable, clean it occasionally with an old toothbrush to remove mud or vegetation debris. By keeping the knit clean, the cuff closure will remain 100% effective as if the jacket were new.
