As the name suggests, ASP Tri-Fold restraints fold in three places, for ultra-compact carry on a belt or in a pocket. During use, they offer two large loops for quick and easy application. They are perfect for crowd control, military use, aviation security, and other situations where traditional handcuffs would not be as practical and fast as this system. Tri-Fold straps are extra wide, with smooth edges for safety, and pass through a fully enclosed ratchet lock with a thickness guard to prevent failure. The restraint system lock is quick and efficient, activated by pulling the included pull tab or the optional extra-long flexible lanyard. Once applied, Tri-Folds must be cut. The latest generation of Tri-Folds incorporates a new polymer compound, refined after over a hundred prototypes, that does not dry out or become brittle, giving them greater strength.
