As the name suggests, ASP Tri-Fold restraints fold in three places for ultra-compact carry on a belt or in a pocket. During use, they offer two large loops for quick and easy application. They are perfect for crowd control, military use, aviation security, and other situations where traditional handcuffs would not be as practical and fast as this system (reusable training model). Tri-Fold straps are extra wide, with smooth edges for safety, and pass through a fully enclosed ratchet lock with a thickness guard to prevent slippage. The restraint system lock is quick and efficient, activated by pulling the included pull tab or the optional extra-long flexible lanyard. The latest generation of Tri-Fold incorporates a new polymer compound, perfected after over a hundred prototypes, that does not dry out or become brittle, giving them greater strength. This model is designed to be used for training and practice; once closed, the restraints can be reopened by loosening the restraint locking assembly up and down.
