Under stress, you won't have to search for tiny buttons with your index finger: the moment your hand firmly grasps the pistol grip, your thumb will naturally position itself on the release lever. Added to this is a second level of active security against attempts at weapon snatching: a solid polymer strap that locks the rear of the slide, disengageable with a single, fluid thumb movement during drawing.
The innovation of this model lies in its full compatibility with modern sighting systems (Optics Ready). The holster is extensively molded to accommodate optics such as Trijicon RMR/SRO, Leupold Delta Point Pro, Sig Romeo1Pro, and similar models. The Vital Light Rule (For Real Operators and Airsoft Players): Whether you're inserting a real 9x19mm Glock 17 or its airsoft training counterpart, always remember that T-Series "Light-Bearing" holsters use the tactical light's dimensions to engage the internal retention detent. You cannot insert the weapon without a mounted light! If you try to use it "naked," the weapon will not lock. Make sure you have a compatible TLR-7, TLR-8, or Nightstick to ensure perfect operational retention.
Beware of Larger Calibers (Glock 22/23 Gen 5): If you use this weapon for duty or personal defense, pay close attention to the generation. If you own a Glock 22 or 23 (.40 S&W caliber), you must ensure it is not a Generation 5. To better handle the pressures of the .40 caliber, the Gen 5 has a physically thicker slide and a slightly modified frame compared to the 9mm, so it will not fit into this holster's mold. If you have a Gen 3 or Gen 4, you're good to go.
