A Piece of History (The Squeeze-Cocker System):
The P7 M13 is not just any pistol. Originally developed as a sidearm for the police and German anti-terrorism units, it does not have the classic safety levers. Everything revolves around its unique cocking system located on the front of the grip. The weapon is safe until you grip it firmly: by squeezing the front lever with your fingers, the internal firing pin is cocked and the trigger is unlocked, allowing you to fire. Umarex has replicated this system mechanically to perfection, including the slide catch function integrated into the same lever!
Full-Metal Construction and Recoil (GBB):
Don't be fooled by the compact dimensions (only 165 mm in length): this replica is a real "brick" of steel. The Full-Metal construction gives it a weight of 870 grams, balanced masterfully on the palm of the hand. Being a Gas Blowback, with each shot the metal slide recoils backwards with powerful and satisfying feedback. It also features an ambidextrous magazine release positioned behind the trigger guard and an adjustable Hop-Up system to ensure tight and accurate shots at medium range.
Don't force the trigger! The P7 requires a bit of "muscle memory" different from the usual pistols. If you try to pull the trigger without first fully squeezing the front lever of the grip, the weapon will not fire and you risk damaging the mechanism. Grip it firmly, feel the "click" of the front lever cocking, and only then fire!
"Invisible" slide release: You have run out of rounds, the slide has remained open (locked back), you have inserted a full magazine... and now? Don't look for the classic lever on the side! On the P7, to release the slide and chamber the BB, just squeeze the front lever of the grip firmly again. A brilliant technical detail and very fast in magazine changes.
Maintenance and Gas: Being a Full-Metal pistol with a nice heavy slide, we recommend using a high-performance Green Gas to always have a clean firing cycle. Remember to regularly lubricate the slide rails with lithium or Teflon grease, and spray some silicone oil on the magazine valves. Golden rule: NEVER leave the magazine completely empty of gas when you put it away. Always leave a small charge of gas inside to keep the O-Rings under pressure and prevent future leaks!
Recommended BBs: Given the size of the short barrel (typical of compact pistols), we recommend using high-quality 0.20g or maximum 0.23g BBs to maintain a tight range and make the most of the adjustable Hop-Up effect.
