The ZEPHYR MK2 GTX® LO Task Force Tactical Shoes represent the second generation of the legendary low-cut footwear by LOWA. Designed to offer the mobility of a sneaker with the durability of a military boot, they combine a redesigned suede leather and CORDURA® upper with the total waterproofness of the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane. Equipped with a MONOWRAP® protective exoskeleton and X-TRAC MILITARY sole, they are certified for professional use (EN ISO 20347:2012). Available in tactical Black.

The Evolution of the Low Profile (MK2 LO):
The Zephyr series has long been considered one of the best tactical footwear lines on the market. This second generation (MK2) in LO (Low Cut) version maintains all the advantages of mobility and lightness of the low cut, but introduces fundamental practical improvements. The upper has been redesigned by moving the seams outside the "flex zones" (the bending zones of the foot), drastically increasing wear resistance without sacrificing comfort during the most dynamic movements.
GORE-TEX® Climate Shield:
Whether you're on an outdoor range in the rain or in a damp forest, your feet will stay dry. The inner lining with GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane guarantees 100% lasting waterproofness, while effectively releasing excess heat and sweat. An ideal thermal balance for prolonged operations and temperate climates.
X-TRAC Traction and MONOWRAP® Frame:
The lower package of the shoe is a concentration of engineering. The exclusive LOWA-Monowrap® injection frame wraps around the shoe, stabilizing the foot like an exoskeleton, protecting it from lateral impacts. The cushioned LOWA X-TRAC Military sole ensures exceptional grip (Slip Resistance technology) on forests, smooth asphalt, muddy terrain and even ice, isolating the foot from heat, cold and resisting oils and fuels.
Ergonomic Comfort and Lacing:
The LO version uses a single-zone lacing system that combines sturdy technical fabric loops with metal eyelets equipped with Roller technology, allowing the laces to slide smoothly. Together with the Climate Control cushioning footbed and the dual-injection polyurethane midsole, the Zephyr LO pampers the foot like a premium running shoe.

Low Shoe (LO) or Boot (MID)? The rule is simple: if you are an operator who spends a lot of time in vehicles (car patrol), if you are a shooting instructor in "flat" ranges, if you escort VIPs in civilian clothes or if you play airsoft in urban/CQB contexts, the LO version is unmatched. It will give you crazy ankle responsiveness. If, on the other hand, you know that you will have to face steep stony ground or woods with hidden roots, go for the MID version to avoid sprains.
Care and Maintenance (Mandatory!): LOWA is clear: proper maintenance significantly extends the life of the membrane and the shoe, keeping the warranty valid. As these shoes are made of suede leather and GORE-TEX, the use of grease is absolutely prohibited! Buy the LOWA Water Stop PRO waterproofing spray (which you can find in our catalog) together with these shoes and, to nourish the leather without ruining the GORE-TEX, use the LOWA Active Creme Neutral. You will have eternal shoes!
The detail of the MK2 seams: A careful eye will notice that in this MK2 version the leather on the sides forms continuous "waves", without seams right at the point where the shoe bends when you kneel. This eliminates the typical weak point of all tactical footwear (where the thread tends to break over time), guaranteeing you an extraordinary resistance to mechanical wear.
