"Cylinder" Reliability and Double Action:
The beating heart of the Olympic revolver is its infallible 5-shot cylinder. Being without a blowback slide, the mechanics are not affected by dirt like semi-automatic pistols, guaranteeing detonation in any condition. You can fire in Double Action (pressing the trigger in rapid succession to empty the cylinder) or in Single Action (first pulling back the hammer with your thumb to lighten the trigger pull). The upper gas vent (Top Firing) ensures full compliance with Italian safety regulations.
The Correct Ammunition (.380 Rimmed): Never forget the golden rule of revolvers! Even the beautiful Olympic works EXCLUSIVELY with .380 R (Rimmed) caliber ammunition. These rounds have a protruding "collar" at the base that fits perfectly into the cylinder. If you try to use the classic 8mm or 9mm PAK for automatic pistols, they will fall through the holes! Wood Care: The wooden grips are beautiful, but require a little extra attention. When cleaning the weapon after firing, be careful not to pour liters of chemical solvent or aggressive degreaser on the grip, as it could ruin the wood finish in the long run. Spray gun oil on a cloth and pass it only on the metal parts!
The Cleaning Brush is your best friend: Blank revolver rounds leave a lot of soot inside the 5 chambers of the cylinder. To always ensure smooth insertion of new cartridges, make it a habit to pass the metal cleaning brush (supplied) inside each hole of the cylinder at the end of the game. A clean cylinder will make you reload in half the time!
