The Ritual of the Side Loading Gate:
Forget the modern cylinder that flips to the side. On this revolver, the magic lies in the historical reloading mechanism! On the right side of the shield is a loading gate. By opening it and placing the hammer at half-cock, you can freely rotate the cylinder to insert the 6 .380 caliber blank cartridges one by one. It is a real ritual that adds an unparalleled level of realism and satisfaction to the use of this replica.
How do you reload? (The Half-Cock): To open the loading gate and insert the rounds, it is not enough to pull the door! You must first pull the hammer slightly back until you hear the first "click". This position is called half-cock and serves to unlock the cylinder, allowing it to rotate freely to the right. Once the 6 rounds have been inserted, close the door and you are ready to fire!
Single Action explained simply: This revolver does not fire simply by pulling the trigger. Being a pure "Single Action" (as in real western duels), to fire you must necessarily pull the hammer all the way back with your thumb to cock it, and then pull the trigger to fire the shot. This operation must be repeated before each single shot!
Only eats ".380 Rimmed": As with all revolvers, 8mm or 9mm rounds for semi-automatic pistols slip away here! This blank gun must be fed exclusively with .380 R (Rimmed) caliber cartridges, i.e. those with the protruding "collar" on the bottom.
