The LOWA ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID is the perfected reinterpretation of one of the world's most beloved tactical boots. Its MID-CUT design (medium height) provides essential ankle support during patrols or Fast Rope operations, while ensuring incredible freedom of movement for close-quarters combat (CQC) or sudden sprints. The exterior is a flexible shell composed of 80% high-quality, highly durable water-repellent suede leather and 20% tear-resistant breathable fabric, designed to withstand the worst abrasions in operational environments.
Waterproofness and Perfect Climate (GORE-TEX):
Missions don't stop for rain. Thanks to the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear inner lining (100% waterproof and highly breathable), the foot remains perfectly dry whether you're crossing a stream or sweating during dynamic action under the sun. This system is optimized for temperate and humid climates, expelling body vapor outwards without letting a single drop of water penetrate.
MONOWRAP® Exoskeleton and X-TRAC Sole:
The extraordinary comfort of the Zephyr comes from its unique injection-molded STABILITY FRAME (MONOWRAP®): a three-dimensional, two-layer polyurethane (PU) frame that wraps and supports the foot like a true exoskeleton, cushioning every impact. The new LOWA® X-TRAC MILITARY sole offers extreme slip resistance (Slip Resistance SRC) on smooth, wet, or oily surfaces, ensuring insulation from heat and cold, and resisting contact heat and fuels.
2-Zone Tactical Lacing:
Another innovation of the MK2 version is the differentiated lacing. Thanks to an innovative clamp hook (closed hook system), it is possible to adjust and lock the tension independently between the forefoot and ankle areas. The closed hooks also prevent accidental entanglement in thorns or parachutes, keeping the lace always in tension.

What is the 2-Zone lacing for? Make the most of the innovative clamp hook! Before a long climb, securely lock the lace on the sole of the foot (zone 1) but leave the ankle area (zone 2) slightly looser to give mobility to the joint. Conversely, before a steep descent, tighten the ankle firmly as well: this way the foot will not slide forward and you will not destroy your nails against the tip of the boot!
The importance of the MONOWRAP® frame: Have you noticed that the sole rubber "rises" laterally embracing the boot? It's not just aesthetics. This exoskeleton structure was created to protect the foot and shoe from extreme abrasions, such as those generated by the rope during Fast Rope descents from helicopters. In airsoft, it is a perfect armor against sharp rocks and protruding roots.
Care and Maintenance (GORE-TEX + Suede): Mistreating these masterpieces is a crime! Never use classic grease for smooth leather boots! The grease would clog the pores of the suede and block the breathability of the GORE-TEX, making your foot sweat. Only use soft brushes to remove dry mud and apply only specific waterproofing sprays for suede shoes with a breathable membrane (such as the LOWA spray you find in the catalog).
