This tactical antenna by Baofeng is an accessory designed to improve the transmission and reception performance of portable radios, particularly those of the Baofeng brand (such as the popular UV-5R and derivatives), but it is also compatible with radios from other brands such as Wouxun, Quansheng, Anytone, Puxing, Alinco, Yaesu and others, as long as they have an SMA-Male connector.

The antenna is flexible and foldable, which makes it practical to carry and less prone to breakage than rigid antennas. When extended, it has a length of 47cm, offering a gain of 2.15 dBi and improving the signal range.

It uses an SMA-Female (SMA-F) connector, which screws directly onto the radio. It is designed to operate on the frequencies 144 MHz (VHF) and 430 MHz (UHF), the most common amateur radio bands. It supports a maximum transmission power of 20W.
