The Vickers Combat Application Sling™ (often abbreviated as VCAS) by Blue Force Gear is not just a sling, but a tactical tool that has redefined modern military standards, becoming the preferred choice for countless armed forces worldwide. This standard (unpadded) version is based on a highly durable 1.25-inch (3.17 cm) CORDURA® Invista webbing, designed to glide smoothly over equipment without causing abrasions or snagging.
The core of the system is the patented Quick Adjuster: a sliding adjuster equipped with a contrasting color pull tab. This mechanism eliminates the gap between comfortable carry and tactical engagement. By pulling the tab, the operator can instantly lengthen or shorten the sling with one hand, transitioning from a weapon tight to the body to maximum extension for aiming or shoulder transitions. The hardware for this version is made from fiberglass-reinforced DuPont Zytel® Nylon, a material that offers extreme durability while maintaining a flat, lightweight profile completely free of reflections or metallic noise. The sling comes with plain webbing ends, allowing for direct installation on weapon loops or the addition of aftermarket hardware.

Configure Your Ends: The Vickers sling arrives "bare" at the ends, and this is a huge advantage because it allows you to custom-fit it to your setup. If you have a standard M4, you can thread the rear webbing directly through the slot in the Crane stock, and the front webbing through the delta sight loop: you'll have a rock-solid, zero-cost, and completely silent setup. If you prefer modularity, you can purchase QD (Quick Detach) swivels separately to attach and detach it in a second from modern M-LOK or KeyMod handguards.
Utilize the Contrasting Color: Don't underestimate the contrasting color Pull Tab! In the chaos of an engagement in the woods or in low-light conditions (e.g., at night or in dark urban environments), your peripheral vision and muscle memory will instantly find that colored piece of webbing. Pull it towards you to "glue" the rifle to your Plate Carrier if you need to use your pistol or climb over a wall. Push it forward to free up the full length of the sling and make a smooth shoulder transition around blind corners. Practice doing it without looking at the weapon!
