Dominate Recoil (The Gas Pedal Concept):
In dynamic sports shooting and Speedsoft, controlling muzzle flip (the lifting of the barrel) is crucial for quickly doubling shots and staying on target. This Thumb Rest attaches to the frame of your AAP-01 and offers a solid tactical protrusion to press and rest your thumb on. By applying slight downward pressure on this fin, you naturally counteract gas recoil, keeping the pistol perfectly flat and aligned after each shot.
Ambidextrous Design and CNC Aluminum:
Made from solid aeronautical aluminum via CNC machining, this small but ingenious accessory combines granite-like strength with imperceptible weight (it will not unbalance your pistol in any way). Its intelligent and symmetrical design is completely ambidextrous: you can decide during assembly whether to have it protrude on the right or left side of the replica, making it perfect for both right- and left-handed shooters.
How to use it correctly? If you are right-handed, mount the Thumb Rest on the LEFT side of the pistol. This way, when you grip the weapon with two hands, the thumb of your support hand (the left) will rest exactly on top of this fin. Press down lightly while shooting: you will see that the pistol will stop rising!
Threadlocker is Mandatory: This piece literally serves to discharge the force of your thumb on the frame of the pistol to block recoil. It is constantly subjected to pressure and vibrations. When you screw it on, always put a drop of blue (medium) threadlocker on the screws, otherwise we guarantee that it will loosen halfway through the game.
The Holster Dilemma Again: Adding a lateral protrusion to the frame (especially in the area above the trigger) makes the pistol incompatible with almost all rigid Kydex or wraparound polymer holsters. This accessory works best when combined with open (Open Holster) Speedsoft quick-release holsters!
