The Charm of History in Full Metal:
To hold the Bruni P38 means to grasp a piece of history. Inspired by the legendary German pistol that entered service in the late 1930s, this blank firing gun faithfully reproduces its unmistakable lines: from the exposed barrel to the peculiar slide design. The body is a solid Zama alloy monobloc weighing over a kilogram, coupled with knurled polymer grips for a firm and secure hold.
Top Firing Semiautomatic Mechanics:
The gun operates in single-action semiautomatic mode. Once the 10-round 8mm caliber metal magazine is inserted, simply pull back the slide to chamber the first cartridge and cock the hammer. Each pull of the trigger will be followed by a loud "bang", the realistic blowback of the slide, and the lateral ejection of the empty case. The Top Firing system guarantees the venting of gases in total safety from the upper part of the gun, in full compliance with current Italian regulations.
Single Action, Explained: Unlike modern "double action" guns (where pulling the trigger also cocks the hammer), the P38 is Single Action. What does this mean in practice? That to fire the very first shot, you must pull back the slide to cock the hammer (or manually pull it down with your thumb). After that, thanks to the automatic blowback, the gun will re-cock itself for subsequent shots!
Feed it 8mm! As we have often repeated, feeding is everything. This historic P38 needs 8mm blank rounds (the classic straight cases for semiautomatics). Add the 8mm boxes of Fiocchi, Özkursan or Kaiser that you find in our store to your cart, and stay away from 9mm or flanged revolver rounds!
Lubricate the "Jewel": Being an all-metal gun with tight tolerances, friction is its worst enemy. Before using it for the first time, and always after each shooting session, use the cleaning brush to clean the barrel from soot and put a couple of drops of gun oil on the slide rails. A well-oiled P38 will always cycle smoothly and majestically!
